Vendor Almanac

About Vendor Almanac

Buying vertical software means calling five vendors to learn five prices that four of them would not put on a page. This site writes those prices down.

Vendor Almanac is a reference, not a review site. It records what software vendors publish about their own pricing, fees, and features — each fact with a link to where it came from and the date a person read it. When a vendor does not publish a price, that is the fact we record. When we have not checked something, the page says so.

It starts with pool service software: five products, a shared feature checklist, and a pricing page for each. If it is useful there, more categories follow. The methodology explains the rules, including the categories we will not cover.

Who runs it

Vendor Almanac is a small independent project, researched and maintained by one editor. It takes no vendor money in any form, so nothing here is for sale — not placement, not ranking, not wording. The one thing you can hold us to is the methodology: every fact links to its source and shows the date it was checked, so you can verify any claim on this site yourself rather than taking our word for it.
